Have an Inner Body Experience during Health & Wellness Week

The Health Museum’s Annual Event Focuses on the Human Body

Details: Spend your spring break with The Health Museum for a week of crafts, activities, and dissection demonstrations exploring the science of your body. It’s all part of the annual Health & Wellness Week, March 12 – 17, sponsored by St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and Park Plaza Hospital. Special events include the Health & Wellness Expo, Thursday, March 15, 1 – 5 p.m., UT Brain Night, Thursday, March 15, 6 – 8 p.m., and Kick Butts Day, Saturday, March 17. Community partners and corporate sponsors will be at the museum to help you explore wellness options for 2012.

Admission to these events is included with the purchase of a general admission ticket. UT Brain Night is free to all museum visitors and is hosted by the UTHealth Neuroscience Research Center. For more information about Spring Break festivities, visit thehealthmuseum.org/wellnessweek

Visitor Information

Admission to The Health Museum is $6 for children ages 3-12 and seniors 65 and over, $8 for adults ages 13-64. All children ages 2 and under are free. Tickets are available online at thehealthmuseum.org. For group discount rates and school field trip information, call 713-521-1515, ext. 121. The Health Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m. June – August, the museum is open Mondays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

The Health Museum is a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and is located in the heart of Houston’s Museum District at 1515 Hermann Drive Houston, TX 77004. Museum exhibits include You: The Exhibit, a highly interactive look at the physical, psychological and future you, and the McGovern 4D Theater, Houston’s first 4D theater, where 3D films and environmental effects like wind, rain and fog create a memorable experience.

The Health Museum fosters wonder and curiosity about health, medical science and the human body.
