Enjoy Cool Deals and Cool Events at the Zoo All Summer Long

TXU Energy presents ‘Chill Out” at the Houston Zoo this summer. Enjoy cool admission deals and cool entertainment at the Zoo all summer long. Even in the heat of a Texas summer you can head to the Houston Zoo for a day of fun with our amazing animals and the dedicated keepers who care for them. Chill out and relax with a little AC in one of our 13 indoor locations or take in one of more than 20 daily Meet the Keeper Talks and watch our animals enjoy icy summer treats.

Cool Mist

With the hottest months of the year ahead, Zoo visitors can rest assured that they can beat the heat while on Zoo grounds in a number of ways:

TXU Energy’s sponsorship of Chill Out at the Zoo supports four permanent misting stations to help Zoo visitors “chill out,” while they enjoy exhibits. It also involves extending that experience beyond the Zoo so Houston electricity customers can chill out at home with energy efficiency tips to help them save electricity and money on their electricity bills this summer.

“We know that Texans understand how important it is to keep cool when the mercury’s rising,” said Michael Grasso, chief marketing officer, TXU Energy. “We’re glad to support the Zoo and its many visitors this summer as they enjoy one of Houston’s top family entertainment and education spots.”

Cool Deal

Chill Out and save money. All summer long, Zoo guests can Save $4 After 4 p.m. Visit the Zoo on the Web at www.houstonzoo.org and print a downloadable coupon. Bring the coupon to the Houston Zoo from May 31 to September 4 and receive $4 off an adult or child Zoo admission when you arrive after 4 p.m. Limit one coupon per person.

Cool As Ice

From ice-pops for otters and orangutans to bath time for elephants, Houston Zoo animals will enjoy Chill Out-themed enrichment activities all summer long.
