美南大專校聯會獎學金 得獎者名單揭曉

美南大專校聯會獎學金 得獎者名單揭曉

一年一度的美南中國大專院校聯合校友會獎學金，已分數組甄選完畢。今年總共錄取十四名高中生及三名大學生。獎學金種類計有：校聯會傳統獎學金、林瑞發先生紀念獎學金、賈同豫及潘家寅教授紀念獎學金、李莉穎及BP 獎學金、校聯會特別獎學金 ，華裔青年從政獎學金及音樂獎學金。

校聯會傳統獎學金，開放給十二年級的高中生申請。依據學生的學業成績、領導才能、社區服務、與課外活動來甄選得獎者。今年此類獎學金錄取八名，每名一仟元。學業成績獎三名，得獎者為胡學永、耿瀟、魏嘉雯。領導才能獎取兩名：胡瑞欣、王文璐。社區服務獎一名：佟磊。課外活動獎二名：吳博捷、吳恪霖。

林瑞發先生紀念獎學金，是校友林宗生為紀念其父林瑞發先生而設，對象是品學兼優、家境清寒的十二年級高中生，金額為三仟元。得獎者是：楊珀宸。賈同豫及潘家寅教授紀念獎學金是台北工技學院校友劉素雲所捐贈，對象是品學兼優、家境清寒的十二年級高中生，金額為三仟元，得獎者是：陳佳恩。李莉穎及BP 獎學金是校友李莉穎捐贈、對象亦是品學兼優、家境清寒的十二年級高中生，得獎者是：吳易霖。

今年校聯會特別增發三名獎學金，對象是品學兼優家境清寒的十二年級高中生，金額為每名一仟元。得獎者是 : 趙子萱、李卓昀及陳奕儒。
華裔青年從政獎學金是為鼓勵有志從政的青年爭取在立法機構基層學習所設，金額為二仟元。今年的得主為周浩恩。
今年新設的音樂獎學金是為在大專及研究院專攻音樂的學生所設名額為倆名，金額為每名二仟元。得主為陳元珺及陳璟岳。

以上所有獎學金，都將於六月二十五日的校聯會「獎學金之夜」舉行頒獎儀式。得獎者簡介如下：

胡學永(Phillip Hu)，Clements高中十二年級、將入MIT 就讀、。National Merit Scholarship Finalist, AP Scholar, U.S. Biology Olympiads semi-finalist, Cell Biology 1st place Texas State Science Olympiad 2009, Gold Key Painting Scholastic Art & Writing Award, VASE UIL State Art Competition Winner, Grand Prize Beijing Olympics Art Competition, Piano Guild Test top category。父親胡崇智, 母親鄧宸潔。

耿瀟(Michelle Geng)，Glenda Dawson高中十二年級、將入Harvard University就讀。National Merit Commended Scholar, National AP Scholar with Distinction, Coca-Cola Scholarship finalist, Business Professionals of America National Ambassador Torch Award winner, Presidential Volunteer Gold Medal Service, Head Drum Major, John Wooden Leadership award, Co-founder of Switched-On Physics. 1st Place Houston Works Engineering Excellence competition, 3rd Place State Robotic Contest。父親耿朴，母親姜承蓉。

魏嘉雯(Jenny Wei)，Bellaire高中十二年級，將入MIT 就讀。IB Diploma Candidate, AP Scholar with Distinction, Rensselaer Medal Program winner, President’s Volunteer Service Award, Placed 4th and 2nd in 2009 and 2010 ExxonMobil Texas State Science and Engineering Fair in Medicine and Health category, Univ. of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center High School Research Student,。父親魏道嚴, 母親左祥生。

胡瑞欣(Steffi Hu)，Clements高中十二年級，將入Rice University就讀。National Merit Commended Scholar, National AP Scholar, President of Generation Youth Humanitarian Organization, Houston’s Green Ambassador, M.D. Anderson Mentorship Program, has been Dancing Since 1997 and performed at various events including 2010 Shanghai World EXPO。父親胡宗雄，母親張筱蘭。

王文璐(Christina Wang)，Bellaire高中十二年級，將入Yale University 就讀。Founder and Editor of Culture Crossing, Editor-in-Chief of Bellaire Three Penny Press, Founder and President of Music United Societies Everywhere Club, Princeton Prize in Race Relation Award Winner, Attended Leadership in the Business World at the Wharton School of Business of University of Pennsylvania。父親王冀洪，母親李琦。

佟磊(Brian Tong)，Bellaire高中十二年級，將入Duke University就讀。National AP Scholar with Distinction, USA Biology Olympiad Semi-Finalist, Assistant Coach for Family & Friends of Children with Special Needs, Teaching Assistant at Houston Museum of Natural Science, Patient Assistance at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Hospital Store Helper at M. D. Anderson Cancer, Participated in various events in Houston Chinese Church, Bellaire Red Cross Club and Bellaire Men’s Club Center。父親佟友東，母親劉晶。

吳博捷(Patrick Wu)，St. John’s 高中十二年級，將入Washington University就讀。National AP Scholar with Distinction, American Invitational Mathematics Examination qualifier, Youth for Understanding Culture Exchange Scholarship, Coca-Cola Scholarship Semi-Finalist, World Piano Competition silver medallist, 6th International Chopin Youth Competition Semi-Finalist, Wind Ensemble All-State Band clarinetist, President’s Volunteer Service Award。父親 吳健清、母親郭晴。

吳恪霖(Clint Wu)、Bellaire 高中十二年級，將入University of Texas at Austin就讀。AP Scholar with Distinction、National Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Writing, Member of NASA Lunar Science Institute High School Research Project, President of Bellaire International Student Association, Volunteer for Bellaire Red Cross, Chinese Youth Camp, Houston International Festival, Houston Food Bank, Excel in Shaolin Kung Fu、an Excellent Dancer。父親吳而立、母親羅茜莉。

楊泊宸(Po-Chen Paul Yang)、Westside 高中十二年級，將入MIT 就讀。Member of National Honor Society, AP Scholar, JROTC IT Officer, President of Computer Science Club, Secretary of Ecology Club。熱心環保活動。母親楊敏惠。

陳佳恩(Angela Chen)、Dulles 高中十二年級，將入Trinity University就讀。AP Scholar , President of National Honor Society, President of Dulles Green Club, Member of Teens Assisting Special Kids helping kids with special needs, Active in volunteer works for the Fort Bend Community Church。母親吳學儀。 吳易霖(Elie Wu)、Cinco Ranch 高中十二年級，將入University of Texas at Austin就讀。Member of National Honor Society, AP Scholar with Honor, National Forensic League Degrees of Excellence Award, an Excellent Oratory Writer, Excel in Debating, President of Right Brain Parliament Club, Volunteer in clinic and Chinese Senior Center。母親舒萍。

趙子萱(Gloria Chao)、Clear Brook 高中十二年級，將入University of Texas at Austin就讀。Member of National Honor Society, Superintendent’s Scholar , Member of Dance/Drill team, District Piano Solo Gold and All-State Piano Solo Silver Medallist, volunteer in Peer Assistance and Leadership Program, does Volunteer work in St. John’s Hospital。父親趙令龍、母親阮祥鴻。

李卓昀(Philip Li)、Clements 高中十二年級，將入University of Texas at Austin就讀。Member of National Honor Society, Member of Spanish Honor Society, 2010 Science Engineering Fair of Houston District Champion, Regional Qualifier, Excellent Tennis Player, Captain of Tennis Team, Volunteer work in Habitat for Humanity and Red Cross。父親李憲國、母親鐘美淑。

陳奕儒(Yi Ju Chen)、Hastings 高中十二年級，將入University of Houston就讀。Interested in Computer Programming and Science in general, Volunteer in Asian Lunar Year Festival, Toy Drive and Alief Community Association。母親林杏琴。

周浩恩(Benjamin Chou)、 Rice University 政治系二年級就讀、專攻中國及印度能源需求與美國能源保障關係。從高二起就積極與政治性活動, 曾為多數參眾議員活動。從小就以大家服務目標。今夏將於白宮Council for Environmental Quality做實習生。父親周嘉靖、母親胡寧玲。 陳元珺(Stephanie Chan) 、The Moores School of Music, University of Houston，Bachelor of Music主修Piano Performance。自高中起師從John Weems, 進入大學後跟隨Nancy Weems。2010 年被選為 Moores School of Music Concerto Competition 第一名。2011 年 San Antonio Tuesday Musical Concerto Competition 第四名。

陳璟岳(Ching-Yueh Chen) 、Studying with Nancy Weems，The Moores School of Music, University of Houston，Master of Music 主修Piano Performance。2009年 Duxbury Music Festival Chamber Competition, MA 第一名。2010年 Summer Diploma、the American Conservatory at Fontainebleau, France。
