Assemble Gift Baskets for APA Seniors Holiday Luncheon

Volunteers are needed this Saturday morning from 10am - 12:30 p.m. to assemble 100 Raffle Basket Table Centerpieces for the luncheon. You Do Not Need to be Arts & Crafty to do this!!

If you can cut with Scissors and Tie a Knot or use clear tape, then your help with assembling the baskets is greatly appreciated!

We will be meeting at the front board room in the CCC Building located at:

9800 Town Park
Houston , TX 77036

Please come join us in this great annual OCA-GH community service project to help make the Annual APA Seniors Holiday Luncheon a fun-filled event.

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: Election Day Poll Monitoring

HELP PROTECT OUR RIGHT TO VOTE!

OCA-GH's current project focuses on the upcoming election (November 2nd - don't forget to vote!). With resources from the national office of the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), OCA-GH will be conducting exit surveys at select polling stations in the Greater Houston area (Alief & Fort Bend). We will be stationed at the areas with high densities of Asian Pacific American voters.

The goal of this project is to provide our national affiliates with information to help them build a comprehensive profile of APA voters nationwide and the barriers these voters face at the polls, such as insufficient language access. OCA-GH will need as many Asian language bilingual volunteer poll monitors as possible to make the survey process as accessible as possible.

Volunteers are needed to be available to work at least one 4-hour shift at a polling station on Election Day, November 2. 7am – 11am/11am – 3pm/3pm – 7pm

Volunteers need to attend a half hour-long training session either on:
