"The U.S. State Department's 2010 Trafficking in Persons Report on 177 nations is the most comprehensive worldwide report on the efforts of governments to combat severe forms of trafficking in persons. Its findings will raise global awareness and spur countries to take effective actions to counter trafficking in persons. The annual Trafficking in Persons Report serves as the primary diplomatic tool through which the U.S. Government encourages partnership and increased determination in the fight against forced labor, sexual exploitation, and modern-day slavery." www.houstontrafficking.org

Houston Rescue and Restore Coalition is excited to announce the schedule of events for the 4th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Week

Shop Smart: An Abolitionist's Shopping Guide Workshop: September 24th @ 6pm

Our Asian Community & Human Trafficking: September 25th @ 11am

Labor Trafficking Prevention Training for Immigrant Workers: Sept 25th @ 6pm

Pasión en Juego Soccer Tournament*: September 26th @ 9am

The "Slave Free" soccer tournament will utilize slave free t-shirts and soccer balls. This is a family-friendly event, as there will be educational booths set up throughout the park informing attendants about human trafficking, with a focus on forced labor. All interested players must be 18 or older. All teams must register in advance. To register your team for this tournament contact: steven@houstonrr.org. Location: Maya Park, 2026 Connorvale Rd.
