Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardner) stars in this 7-time Goya Award winning historical epic from acclaimed director Alejandro Amenábar. Set in 4th Century A.D. Egypt under the Roman Empire, Agora tells the story of Hypatia (Weisz), a brilliant astronomer determined to save the wisdom of the ancient world amidst a violent religious upheaval, and the two loyal disciples who are competing to win her heart.
